Midnight Runners Tokyo is the local chapter of a global, volunteer-led fitness movement that combines running with music and bodyweight exercises. The format is part group run, part outdoor bootcamp, all set to a loud, communal playlist.

Sessions typically run on Thursday evenings from 20:00 and last about 90 minutes, covering 5–10 km with regular stops for bodyweight circuits including push-ups, squats, planks, and partner exercises. All fitness levels are welcome and the energy stays high throughout.

Meeting locations rotate around central Tokyo. Check the Heylo app to signup for the events. Sessions are free; bringing water and being open to making new friends are the only real requirements.
